Dollywood Advances to World Series Monday, September 25th , 2023 Jim Henkemeyer sparked his Dollywood Partons past the pesky Bangor Lumberjacks in a closely-contested League Championship Series. Dollywood topped Bangor 1-0 at Dolly Parton Ballpark to decide the series, 4-2 For his efforts, Henkemeyer was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .440 batting average, 8 RBIs and 5 runs scored. "You never want to leave anything on the field," Henkemeyer said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win." The Dollywood Partons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Santa Rosa Desperados - St. Catharines Blue Jays series.
