Henkemeyer 5-for-5 for Dollywood Saturday, September 23rd , 2023 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Jim Henkemeyer is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Bangor Lumberjacks at Ballpark of Bangor. The monster effort from the 20-year-old left fielder helped the Dollywood Partons get the win, 6-5. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Lumberjacks manager David Whigham. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Jim Henkemeyer singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season, Henkemeyer has gotten 138 hits in 461 at-bats for a .299 batting average with 31 home runs. His stats include 98 RBIs and 104 runs scored. He has played in 131 games.
