Lumberjacks Move on to League Championship Series Friday, September 15th , 2023 After their 8-0 win today at Tony Gwynn Stadium over the Mexico City Aztecs, the Bangor Lumberjacks will advance to the League Championship Series. Bangor won the series by a 4-2 margin. Leading the way for the Lumberjacks was center fielder Ken Gavin, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP. "I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus." The Bangor Lumberjacks will play against the Dollywood Partons in the next round.
