Southern A #1 Hurler is Calder Friday, September 1st , 2023 The Southern A made it official today -- Ben Calder of the Bangor Lumberjacks is the Pitcher of the Month. In August he impressed the sportswriters with his domination of league hitters. Calder made 6 starts, registered 4 wins and no losses with a solid 0.71 ERA. In 38 innings he allowed 20 hits, racked up 32 strikeouts, walked 5 and permitted teams to hit .154 against him. In 27 starts this season, Calder has chalked up a 14-5 record and a 2.51 ERA. |
