Aztecs End Walker Streak Sunday, July 14th , 2024 It was a doubly miserable day for Danny Walker of the Barrie Admirals, as he saw his 24-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 7-2, to the Mexico City Aztecs at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The 20-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Aztecs. "Anyone on a 24-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Mexico City manager Tony Velez said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This season, Walker has hit at a .337 clip with 42 RBIs, 6 home runs and 78 runs scored. He has played in 85 games. |
