S-A Honors Kalamazoo First Baseman Monday, May 25th , 2026 Kalamazoo fans have something to crow about today as Kalamazoo first baseman Trent Slagle nabbed the Southern A Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Slagle. He posted a .643 average (9-for-14) this past week with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. So far this season, Slagle has 7 home runs and a .362 batting average. |
