Vicari Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Sunday, May 24th , 2026 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Neil Vicari did it again, bashing 3 hits in the contest at Miners Memorial Park. For the last 20 games in a row, the 24-year-old catcher has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Glace Bay Miners beat the Santa Rosa Desperados, 6-3. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Vicari told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Glace Bay clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Neil Vicari singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 7th. Vicari is batting .267 this season in 34 games with 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 135 at-bats. |
