Murphree Sensational, 5-for-5 Tuesday, May 30th , 2023 No matter what the San Antonio Stallions threw at him, Ryan Murphree hit it. He easily handled Stallions pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Blue Jays triumph, 15-1, at Engineers Ballpark. "The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Murphree's quip, Stallions skipper Logan Greening said he "would take him up on that next time." Ryan Murphree singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Roberto Pleitez in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. So far this season, Murphree is batting .357 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. He has 10 hits in 28 at-bats, 3 walks and a .419 OBP. Murphree has played in 8 games.
