20-Game Hitting Streak for Coffey Tuesday, May 9th , 2023 The Grand Rapids Jet Hawks fell to the Tampa Capitals in Jet Hawks Ballpark, even as 23-year-old second baseman Dale Coffey upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Coffey finished with 2 hits in 5 at-bats, but could not stop the Jet Hawks from dropping the 7-4 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Coffey. Dale Coffey tripled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Kendra in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. During the current season Coffey is batting at a .421 clip with 9 home runs and 23 RBIs. He has played in 32 games and scored 32 times. |
