Nashua's Elder Injured, Out of Lineup Wednesday, May 20th , 2026 Chad Elder of the Nashua Sweepers was injured in today's game against Barrie and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament, and he is expected to be out for up to 11 months. It happened while Elder was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." Elder's record so far this season is 1-and-0 with no saves and a 1.54 ERA. He has given up 12 hits in 23.1 innings with 27 strikeouts. |
