D'Alessandro Goes on Rampage Against Cavalry
Sunday, May 17th , 2026
It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Russell D'Alessandro -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Ballpark of North Richland Hills and paced the 12-1 Scorpions win over the St. Louis Cavalry.
After his dynamite batting performance, the Sonoma second baseman told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."
His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Russell D'Alessandro singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
This year, D'Alessandro is batting .483 with 1 home run.
