"Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," DeVaul quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking."
Paul DeVaul flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.

Eskimo Brothers Jose Rivera Will Miss Season

The season is apparently over for Jose Rivera. The Encinitas Eskimo Brothers medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 6 months with a torn rotator cuff. Rivera was hurt in the game against Libertyville while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.
This season, Rivera shows a 1-2 record in 5 games, 26.1 innings, 30 strikeouts, and a 3.08 ERA.
