Mescalero No Match for Lawhead Thursday, May 14th , 2026 In a seemingly effortless performance, R.J. Lawhead of the Libertyville Polecats shot down the Mescalero Chiefs, 6-0, on 3 hits. "R.J. was just locating so well and using his pitches," Libertyville manager Armando Cerda said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Lawhead recorded 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Mescalero manager Hunter Santiago said in postgame comments to BNN.
