Willingham Goes Yard 3 Times Sunday, April 14th , 2024 Whatever Damian Willingham ate for breakfast before his game against the Rohnert Park Cougars, it gave him some impressive power. The Fresno first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Ballpark of Greenup. His home run barrage helped the Running Rebels defeat the Cougars, 19-0. "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you've got a shot at a homer," he told BNN reporters after the game. "I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day, he went 7-for-7, scored 5 times, drove in 8 and put on a display that history will remember. Damian Willingham singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Chris Pokorski in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jordan Montalvo in the 7th, hit a two-run home run off Timothy Lipinski in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. For the year, Willingham is batting .462 with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. |
