Injury Sidelines Ryan Ramirez for Season Friday, April 24th , 2026 The doctors have spoken and Ryan Ramirez of the Libertyville Polecats didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old center fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ramirez sustained his season-ending injury during the Rohnert Park Cougars game yesterday at Field of the Polecats. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Libertyville medical staff reported Ramirez had a ruptured medial collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10-11 months. Ramirez is currently batting .354 with 3 home runs, 5 runs scored and 5 RBIs. His OBP is .392. |
