That's exactly what Jim Marsh did at Mountaineers Park, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 6-1. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Marsh said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The London Tigers first baseman blistered the Winchester Mountaineers for 3 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Winchester manager Mitchell Young said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Jim Marsh struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Eddie De Leeuw in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eddie De Leeuw in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Tom Henwood in the 8th. In 64 games this year, Marsh has posted a .277 average and put up these numbers: 7 home runs, 30 RBIs and 36 runs scored. |
