Stack Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Thursday, August 31st , 2023 It was a terrific day for Jody Stack, who ripped three home runs at Mountaineers Park, and a disappointing one for the Washington Wildthings who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 14-4, to the Winchester Mountaineers. "He was instant offense," Washington skipper Danny Sanchez said. "Jody really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." For the day, Stack collected 3 hits in 3 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Mountaineers Park. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said. Jody Stack hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Hewes in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Hewes in the 3rd and hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Hewes in the 5th. For the year, Stack has hit .249 with 33 home runs, 67 RBIs and scored 68 runs. |
