League Gets Last Word, Suspends Walker 3 Games
Friday, May 22nd , 2026
The league commissioner's office has notified the Hamilton Bulldogs that left fielder Danny Walker has been given a 3-game suspension for his involvement in an incident with the home plate umpire in yesterday's Hamilton-Vail game at Mariachis Ballpark. After being called out on a pitch that he deemed a ball, Walker aggressively expressed his displeasure and was promptly ejected from the game.
In the league suspension notice, it stated that he was suspended for making an obscene gesture toward the umpires prior to entering the dugout. The league said that type of behavior would not be tolerated.
Walker and the Bulldogs were unavailable for comment.
Walker is swinging at a .308 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 17 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has played in 38 games.
