Eastern AA Names #1 Pitcher in May Sunday, June 1st , 2025 In May when the Encinitas manager wrote the name "Izquierdo" on the lineup card, he knew he had a good shot at winning. Start after start in the month, Rodrigo Izquierdo took the hill, took charge and usually got the win. He dominated with a 5-1 mark and 2.34 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Eskimo Brothers star pitched 34.2 innings, fanned 31 and held opposing teams to a .254 average. For his outstanding mound performance Izquierdo was named the E-AA Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. This season, Izquierdo has compiled a 8-1 record with a 2.01 ERA in 9 starts. |
