Ross Tags 3 HR Against Firecats Friday, May 26th , 2023 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Steve Ross did at Cavalry Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-4. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Ross said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The St. Louis Cavalry shortstop blistered the Hialeah Firecats for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Hialeah manager John Costa said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Steve Ross hit a two-run home run off Jason Brokaw in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jason Brokaw in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Jason Brokaw in the 5th and walked in the 7th. Ross is hitting .295 this year with 9 home runs, 34 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 51 hits in 173 at-bats, 19 walks and a .363 on-base percentage. Ross has played in 45 games. |
