DeWitt Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Thursday, May 25th , 2023 The Riverside Rotters stopped the Alcoa Millionaires, 8-2, and Mike DeWitt collected a base hit yet again. The Riverside third baseman finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited DeWitt told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Mike DeWitt struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Groves in the 4th, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. In 44 games this season, DeWitt has batted at a .346 pace with 54 hits and 17 home runs. |
