Benson Bangs 3 HR Against Traverse City Friday, May 12th , 2023 Kyle Benson went yard three times in a Fresno Running Rebels victory over the Traverse City Bears at Greensboro Grounds. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Fresno right fielder went 3-for-3 against Traverse City with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Running Rebels to the 13-4 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Kyle Benson hit a solo-shot off Pat Potter in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Pat Potter in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Miguel Gomez in the 5th, walked in a run in the 6th and was hit by a pitch in the 8th. Benson is hitting .206 so far this season with 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 26 hits including 8 home runs, 7 walks and .265 OBP. |
