Tucson Stops Calloway Hit Streak Thursday, April 25th , 2024 Devin Calloway saw his 20-game hitting streak wither and die during the New Rochelle Purple Wave win over Tucson at Ballpark of Lexington. The 28-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Tucson Raccoons, but his teammates produced enough offense to win the game, 8-3. "Am I disappointed about the hit streak? Maybe, just a little bit," a seemingly upbeat Calloway told reporters in the clubhouse. "But really, how could you be unhappy after you hit in 20 straight games? I'm just glad it lasted as long as it did. Life is good." |
