3-HR Game for McComas

Orono Oaks designated hitter Paul McComas had a magnificent game against the Dillonvale Indians, rocketing three balls out of Black Diamonds Ballpark to help the Oaks win, 7-2.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, McComas went 3-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Orono manager Mike Sanchez said later. "Seems like Paul found his home run stroke today."
Paul McComas hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
So far on the season, McComas is hitting .319 with 20 home runs, 45 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 52 hits and played in 42 games.

Season Ends for Chris Foore of Quebec

The season is finished for Chris Foore of the Quebec Aces. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Aces reliever suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Montreal Royals. Team doctors said it would take at least 7-8 months to heal.
This season, Foore has recorded 1 save with a 0-0 record. He's made 14 relief appearances, tossed 24.1 innings while fanning 21 with a 2.59 ERA.
