Lake Rips Lubbock for 5 Hits
Tuesday, April 23rd , 2024
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Fremont's Tyler Lake made it happen against the Stampede. Everything came together at the plate for the 27-year-old left fielder as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and helped the Marshalls triumph, 14-10, at Hedgehogs Park.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Lake said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Tyler Lake doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
So far this year, Lake has no home runs and a .488 batting average.
