Joilet Third Baseman Hurt Thursday, April 18th , 2024 When Mike DeWitt was hurt against the Montreal Canadiens, the Joilet Jesters were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 23-year-old third baseman suffered a torn back muscle running the bases in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that DeWitt would miss 4-5 months of the season. This year, DeWitt is hitting .500 with 1 home run and 1 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .600 clip and scored 2 runs. |
