Boone Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Friday, August 30th , 2024 Ryan Boone collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Westwood Bruins, beat the New Rochelle Purple Wave, 10-1. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Boone quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Ryan Boone hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. Thus far this season, Boone is hitting .371 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs and 30 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 124 at-bats and has played in 33 games. |
