Dillonvale Loses 2B Fields, Suspended by League Thursday, September 4th , 2025 Jonathan Fields has been penalized by the commissioner's office for his verbal and physical assault of an umpire. The second baseman unleashed his fury in protesting a third-strike call in yesterday's Dillonvale-Westwood game at Jackie Robinson Stadium. And now he has to pay for it -- Fields has been suspended for 4 games for his unacceptable actions. The commissioner said in his statement that the league would have zero tolerance for any contact with an umpire, unintentional or otherwise. Fields is hitting .214 this season with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 257 at-bats. |
