Martinez's Season Could be Over Friday, September 8th , 2023 Juan Martinez has to call it a season. The Ann Arbor Z's starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Westwood Bruins and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Martinez was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 7-8 months. This year, Martinez has recorded a 11-9 mark. In 28 starts he has fanned 145 batters in 165.2 innings with a 4.13 ERA. |
