SC Choice for Batter of the Month is Ortiz Friday, September 1st , 2023 At only 25 years of age, Joe Ortiz could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Lubbock Stampede, as August was one to remember for the right fielder and he has captured the Stars Conference Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .368 with 12 home runs, 23 RBIs and 19 runs scored. This season, Ortiz is batting .253 with 73 hits, 27 home runs, 60 RBIs, 34 walks, .331 OBP and has scored 47 runs. He has played in 87 games. |
