StC Star of the Week Picked Monday, August 19th , 2024 When it came to hitting the baseball, Julio Silva was in a class by himself in the Stripes Conference this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding shortstop for Quebec tagged opposing pitchers for a .500 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 12 hits in 24 at-bats, 2 homers, 6 runs scored and 6 RBIs. This year, Silva has hit at a .323 pace and produced 10 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 9 runs. |
