Chesapeake Tailgators Mathematically Out of Playoffs Saturday, August 17th , 2024 Not even the most diehard Chesapeake Tailgators fan thought the team had much chance at the playoffs this year. But now even the faintest hopes have been put to rest, as the Tailgators were mathematically eliminated from the postseason hunt today. This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2017. In total, the Tailgators have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 25-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Tailgators have made the playoffs 4 times. Chesapeake last won the World Series in 2016. |
