Pitcher of the Year Award Goes to Spokane Hurler

Rich Mack of the Spokane Selects had a fine 16-6 season in 2022 and today claimed the Stripes Conference Pitcher of the Year Award.

He started 28 times, threw 202 innings while collecting 189 strikeouts and fashioned a 1.96 ERA. Mack allowed only 159 hits, 40 walks and a .214 opponents' batting average.

He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 24. Tony Espinoza of the Randolph Prairie Thunder finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Matt Schapp of the Hickory Crawdads finished third.
