Garber 5-for-5 for Purple Wave Saturday, June 7th , 2025 It was almost a perfect day for Kevin Garber. The New Rochelle left fielder displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Purple Wave lost to the Walnut Park Bobcats, 13-8. Garber told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle." New Rochelle manager Brent Boudreau told the beat writers otherwise. "There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well." Kevin Garber singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
