Setback for Hickory and Dusty Nelson Saturday, May 31st , 2025 Things have gotten worse for Dusty Nelson of the Hickory Crawdads. The 23-year-old reliever will not be back as soon as originally expected. Nelson is undergoing treatment for a stiff back, but his doctors have expanded his recovery time to at least one week. An unidentified team official told BNN, "Dusty tried to rush his rehab and suffered a setback." For the year, Nelson has collected no saves in no relief appearances. He has also rung up 51 strikeouts and 10 walks in 53 innings while registering a 3.40 ERA and a 4-6 won-lost mark. |
