Kelly Earns May's Top Batter Prize in SC Thursday, June 1st , 2023 When Josh Kelly stepped up to the plate in May he did it with confidence, and today he was honored with the Stars Conference Batter of the Month award. The young Portland third baseman posted a .413 batting average with 9 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 29 runs. Kelly also worked pitchers for 8 walks to post a .465 on-base percentage. For the season, Kelly is currently batting .359 with 9 home runs and 22 RBIs. In 32 games he has reached base at a .406 rate and scored 31 runs to date. |
