Westwood's McLain to Miss 11 Months
Friday, May 9th , 2025
Westwood starting pitcher Roy McLain could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Denver game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said McLain would be out 11 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
For the season, McLain has logged 2 wins and 3 losses and struck out 38 batters in 42.2 innings while compiling a 2.32 ERA.
