3-HR Game for McComas Thursday, May 25th , 2023 Orono Oaks designated hitter Paul McComas had a magnificent game against the Dillonvale Indians, rocketing three balls out of Black Diamonds Ballpark to help the Oaks win, 7-2. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, McComas went 3-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Orono manager Mike Sanchez said later. "Seems like Paul found his home run stroke today." Paul McComas hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 9th. So far on the season, McComas is hitting .319 with 20 home runs, 45 RBIs and 36 runs scored. He has 52 hits and played in 42 games. |
