The Orono Oaks withstood an impressive performance by Dillonvale catcher Kevin Crouch to defeat the Indians, 4-3, at University of Maine Stadium. Crouch hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Nick Horrocks got the win, improving to 7-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 3 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 0. Nick Calvache was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 6 save opportunities.
Orono catcher Jeff Greathouse contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 75th hit of the season and put the Oaks ahead, 4-2.
Greathouse called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
Orono now has a record of 78-61 with the win.
