McKibbins Goes Deep Twice in 7-2 Selects Win
|
The Spokane Selects topped the Walnut Park Bobcats by a score of 7-2. Leading the way was first baseman Ian McKibbins. McKibbins went 3-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Selects. The third-place Selects improved to 77-51.
Spokane used a clutch at-bat from Marc McCain to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Selects ahead, 5-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Selects manager Chris McLure.
