Victor Luna never let Quebec get something going. The Tucson left-hander commanded his splitter in pitching the Raccoons to a 3-0 win. Getting the save was Brent Gudim, his 3rd. With the win over Quebec, the Raccoons improved to 56-71.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Brian Roberts came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Quebec pitcher Tommy LaBiche, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Tucson on top, 1-0.

"I'm happy we won," said Luna. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
