Slumping Z's Lose Again
The Westwood Bruins did just enough to sneak past the Ann Arbor Z's, 5-4, at Knights Ballpark. Westwood pitcher John Blackman, in particular, had a standout performance. The first-place Bruins have won 13 straight games.

Joel Patrick, who leads the StC with a .579 slugging percentage, aided the Westwood cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk.

"I wouldn't want to be playing us right now," said Westwood manager Hasan Raif.
