The Hickory Crawdads picked up a win at Belmont Park, knocking off the Quebec Aces, 6-5. Starting pitcher Ed Jenkins was a big reason why. Hickory reliever Brian Aldridge was the winner. His record is now 4-5. Bill Rauch took the loss. Travis Erb picked up the save for Hickory, his 11th of the year.

Jason Seagle drew 1 walk in 5 plate appearances against the Aces. With the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Hickory in front, 6-5.

"Ed is a tough competitor," said Hickory manager Ray Sanchez.

The win elevated the Crawdads to 80-41.
