Raccoons Best Purple Wave in Pitching Duel
Raccoons Ballpark was the site of a true pitchers' duel.

In a tight contest between the Tucson Raccoons and the New Rochelle Purple Wave, Isaiah Robinson was the determining factor. The Tucson right-hander sparkled in his team's 2-1 win. Brent Gudim was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Raccoons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when first baseman Corey Ramirez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Kevin Clinger and made the score 2-0, Raccoons. Ramirez was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Robinson.

The 'W' lifts Tucson's record to 50-67.
