Spokane Rallies for 3-1 Win
|
In a tight tilt between the Spokane Selects and the New Rochelle Purple Wave, Morgan Jenkins was the deciding factor. The Spokane right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Tyler Doss nailed down his 18th save. With the win, the Selects have a record of 57-53.
Spokane took a 3-1 lead on Troy Hermann's 7th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Hermann hit in the bottom of the eighth, left New Rochelle pitcher Bobby Gang visibly frustrated.
"Morgan throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Spokane manager Chris McLure.
