Scorpions Stymied by Capitols, Griffin
Kyle Griffin, who is tied for 5th in the W-AA in wins with 12, never let the Scorpions get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Capitols to a win, 6-0. The winning continues for Augusta, with the latest triumph making it 10 straight.

Griffin, who dominated for Augusta, earned the victory to move to 12-6. He was in control the whole game, scattering 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 5. Sonoma batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"I like the groove we're in," said Griffin.
