Scorpions Win in Glorious Fashion, 9-8
The timely hitting of Jason Finch helped the Sonoma Scorpions down the Vermont Milkmen, 9-8. Finch was 4 for 6 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Scorpions. Sonoma reliever Paul Herzog was credited with the win. His record goes to 5-0. Morgan Felty took the loss for Vermont. The Scorpions own a robust 89-46 mark.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jason Parisi in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a solo home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Morgan Felty to win the game for Sonoma. The home crowd went nuts.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Scorpions manager Jon Williams.
