Scorpions Get Thrilling 4-3 Win
The Sonoma Scorpions faced a tough opponent in Hialeah pitcher Adam Mahoney, but still scratched out a win at Ballpark of North Richland Hills by a final score of 4-3 in 11 innings. Mahoney went 7.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. The win belonged to Mauricio Martinez in relief. His record improves to 5-6. Joe Newell took the loss for Hialeah. The Scorpions, at 77-52, lead by one game in their division.

The Scorpions relied on third baseman Cory Jaeger for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"This house was rockin'," Jaeger said.
