Scorpions Earn 7-5 Win Against Boll Weevils
Ballpark of North Richland Hills did not lack for drama.

The Miami Boll Weevils could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Arturo Ramirez into a win. Instead, the Sonoma Scorpions prevailed, 7-5. Ramirez threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Sonoma improves to 85-44 with the win. They lead their division by 4 games.

Sonoma got a game-changing hit from Dave Poth. The left fielder blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a winner.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Poth.
