The Cornwall Royals picked up a win at Ballpark of Miami, taking down the Miami Boll Weevils, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Cornwall was right-hander Cody Fields. He played a central role in the triumph. The win gives Cornwall a season record of 64-55.

Cornwall used a timely hit from Mike Gallant to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Royals ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Fields said after the game.
